PANTS

Avoid:

  • Skinny jeans with no wow factor don't make you look your best. (Yes, you can make them work with Style Math. Ideally, you’ll opt for a different leg line or an eye-catching pair.)

SKIRTS

Any style that draws attention to your lower half thanks to cut and/or color.

  • Full skirts

  • Trumpet and flared styles

  • Tiered designs

 Avoid:

  • Longer pencil skirts- As mentioned, these will reinforce the inverted triangle shape.

  • Prints or pieces that are not proportional to your frame. Remember the spaghetti strap example? Small prints on a larger woman make her look larger. Large prints on a smaller woman make her look more juvenile. These techniques are about making you look your best, not about showing off the clothing. This is the difference between, “I like that dress” and “I like YOU in that dress.”
